Mr. Suresh Palli, a resident of Livingston, NJ, dearly departed on October 20, 2024. Mr. Palli, aged 57, was a loving husband, father, brother, and an avid marathoner. He successfully finished over 50 marathons in his running streak, including the six World Marathon Majors. His family and their welfare and happiness were one of the few things in his life that triumphed over his passion for running marathons.
Suresh was born to late Mr. Tata Rao and Mrs. Saraswati amma, in the mining town of Kothagudem, Telangana State, India. He was the third of the four children in the Palli household but first in energy, natural curiosity and determination to achieve the goals he had set for himself. Early in his life, he showed promise by earning academic scholarship in high school and then attending a highly competitive Engineering School at Osmania University. He graduated from Osmania University with a mechanical engineering degree in 1988 and embarked on a professional career that spanned over 35 years, culminating in being a senior technology executive at a major investment bank in New York. The width of his professional experience spanned diverse industries such as industrial gases and chemicals, nuclear energy, wall street banks and many more. Suresh earned a Masters from New York Institute of Technology along the way. Suresh’s determination and will to succeed comes from his mother Saraswati, who raised the family singlehandedly after he lost his father at an early age.
In addition to his passion for marathons, Suresh was an avid tennis player and passionate coach. He also loved engaging in home improvement projects, cooking Indian delicacies, and camping. He was also known to host lively barbecues and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He taught his kids every hobby, physical, and life skill he possibly could. His warmth and ability to connect with people through his funny stories and jokes left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his beautiful wife Dr. Bharathi, daughter Nikita, son Arjun and two sisters, Usharani and Padmavati.
