Gladstone C. Barrett

Gladstone Constantine Barrett was born on June 24,1947 in the parish of St. Mary, Jamaica, West Indies. He was the son of Mildred, and Lucius Barrett.

At the tender age of 16, Gladstone started working as an apprentice Carpenter to contribute to his family and home. He became a very good Carpenter who enjoyed his work. His attitude towards work started from home at an early age. He was always taught to work hard and abide by the rules. These values made him a hardworking man who was dedicated to getting the job done.

He migrated to the United States of America in 1991 and there he continued to work in construction as a Carpenter. Exploring other options after a few years, Gladstone worked as a delivery personnel at Sunshine Company for over ten years, before relocating and becoming employed at the Wanaque School Board as a custodian until he retired in 2023.

In 2000, Gladstone united in holy matrimony with his wife Dulcie Brett Barrett, whom he knew for many years.

He was predeceased by his parents; Mildred, and Lucius Barrett, and one son; Donald Barrett.

Gladstone is survived by eight children; Gladstone Jr, Shelly, Diane, Nadia, Sandy, Michele, Paula, and Rudolph, 9 grandchildren,1 great grandchild, and a host of other relatives, in-laws and friends.

Gladstone will forever be missed and remembered. May his soul rest in peace.
