Velesha Stacy-Anne Johnson, age 36, of East Orange, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday October 29, 2024 at her home. Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She migrated to East Orange, New Jersey in 2004. Velesha is a graduate of East Orange Campus High School. After graduation, she worked in health care and later studied to be a Licensed Practical Nurse. Velesha was also a talented hairdresser and cook. Later in life she completed courses for the NJ Real Estate Agent License.

Velesha was a baptized Christian and a member of the United Church of God 7th day of East Orange. She was active in the youth department and would be found with a mic singing with praise and worship during the weekly worship service.

Velesha leaves behind her beloved son Javontae; her partner Junior and his daughter Theresa; her mother Dian; her father Alfred; her brother Andre; her four sisters: Althea, Camille, Bryanna, and Nathalia; her grandmother Marjorie, and her grandfather Lloyd, several aunts and uncles, her niece, her nephew, her god-daughter, many cousins, church family, and close friends.
